A little bit about us

Roller Derby was first created as an endurance sport for roller skaters, reaching its height in the 1960s and 1970s. Today, roller derby is reemerging as an all-female contact sport that allows women to feel empowered by giving back to their community. Not only is this sport very physically demanding, it is also an alternative form of entertainment, providing a "high-octane" atmosphere. Its demographic is adults 25-40, attracting men and women from all walks of life.

Mississippi Delta Roller Derby is an all-girl flat track roller derby association founded in 2011. The Mississippi Delta Roller Derby promotes friendship, individuality, development of skills, female empowerment, and loyalty. Roller derby has exploded within the last ten years because it provided an outlet for women to show off their strength. This group is bringing roller derby to the Delta for the first time.

Logo Love

Isn't our new logo lovely? Our very own Tasha designed it for us! Keep a look out for the Southern Belle Raiser on posters, flyers, and shirts all around Cleveland.
